Deadpool: The Saga of Wade Wilson #[nn]
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection gathers key moments from Deadpool's long and chaotic history, tracing his evolution from a wisecracking mercenary to a surprisingly complex antihero. It includes his origin under the cruel experiments of Doctor Killebrew and Ajax, his tangled relationships with Copycat, Blind Al, and Cable, and his many absurd encounters with figures like Thanos, Wolverine, and even historical icons like Abraham Lincoln and Elvis Presley. Spanning multiple eras and creative teams, this volume serves as a comprehensive primer on the Merc with a Mouth's most defining storylines.
In "Stumped! (Or This Little Piggy Went..... Hey! Where's the Piggy?)", Deadpool’s latest attempt to regrow his severed middle finger ends in cringe-worthy failure, prompting Black Tom to send a taunting relic from the past. With Siryn by his side and a mysterious lead on Killebrew—the doctor behind his creation—Deadpool’s quest takes a darker turn as he confronts the unsettling truth that his healing factor might be failing. Written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Ed McGuinness, with inks by Nathan Massengill and Norman Lee, colors by Matthew Paine and Digital Chameleon, and lettering by Richard Starkings and Comicraft, the cover by Ed McGuinness captures the absurdity and intensity of the moment.

In trying to grow his middle finger back in front of his merc buddies, Deadpool is deeply embarrassed when he finds out that he can't do it. Black Tom taunts Deadpool by sending him the glove from the hand he removed (in the 2nd Deadpool limited series) and Deadpool collects Siryn so the two can head off to take down her evil uncle. Instead they find Killebrew, one of the doctors who created Deadpool for Weapon X, and he explains that Deadpool’s faulty healing factor is due to the fact that he is dying.
