Deadpool #18

Part 4 of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" arrives with one of the more striking covers of 2013 — a flat, propaganda-poster-style composition centered on Captain America's shield, rendered in warm earth tones with radiating golden rays behind it, while Cap himself peers just over the top with two other masked figures flanking him on either side. Korean hangul text frames the image on both sides, giving the whole thing an unmistakably Cold War-era feel that feels perfectly suited to Deadpool's globe-trotting misadventures. Writers Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan, with art and cover by Declan Shalvey and colors by Jordie Bellaire, continue to bring real visual craft to this series.
