Crisis on Infinite Earths #9
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePart nine of Marv Wolfman, George Pérez, and Jerry Ordway's ambitious 12-part maxi-series arrives in December 1985 with a cover that makes an immediate statement: dozens of DC's most recognizable villains — including Cheetah, Brainiac, Deathstroke, Captain Cold, and a white-winged figure crackling with lightning at the center — surge forward in an overwhelming wave of menace. Pérez's self-inked artwork packs the composition to its edges with an astonishing roster of antagonists, conveying the sense that the entire villainous DC universe has mobilized at once. "War Zone" promises exactly what its title suggests, and this cover delivers that threat in vivid, chaotic style.

Flash [Barry Allen] sacrificed his life so that the 5 universes could live, but the villains, led by Lex Luthor (Earth-1) and Brainiac, attempt to take control of all 5 universes by attacking the weaker of the 5: 4, S, and X. The remaining 2 universes, 1 and 2, then send their heroes to combat this menace. Meanwhile, a splinter group of six Guardians gives Guy Gardner a power ring, though five of them appear to die.
