“Aftershock”

Penultimate issue of Marv Wolfman, George Pérez, and Jerry Ordway's sweeping 12-part maxi-series, "Aftershock" arrives in February 1986 with a cover by Pérez that packs an entire universe of consequence into a single page. The layout unfolds across multiple panels: Superman and the Flash soar urgently through a star-filled void at the top, while Wonder Woman, Harbinger, and a massive crowd of DC's heroes and civilians — Batman, Robin, and dozens more — fill the lower panels with tension, awe, and barely contained chaos. With so many familiar faces gathered against a backdrop of cosmic upheaval and crackling energy, this issue makes unmistakably clear that the Crisis has shaken every corner of the DC universe to its foundation.

Harbinger then explains the multiverse is no more as a result of that battle, as a single universe is now in existence with aspects from each surviving world. The Anti-Monitor later appears to try and finish what he started as he pulls the single Earth into the antimatter universe. To be concluded...
