“The Blade and the Beast”

In "The Blade and the Beast," Conan the Barbarian joins forces with the reluctant warrior Valen to confront the monstrous Dragon of Solvanthia, a creature long imprisoned beneath the city. As the beast breaks free and lays waste to the land, Conan must rely on the ancient Sword of Graven to stop the destruction—though the truth behind Valen’s motives may be more dangerous than the dragon itself. Written by Bruce Jones and illustrated with bold, dynamic art by John Buscema, with inks by Ernie Chan and colors by George Roussos, this 1983 Marvel classic features a cover by John Buscema.
