Against a vivid orange background, this February 1983 issue from Aardvark-Vanaheim presents a striking cover by Dave Sim: the aardvark himself tumbles through the air in a bold red-and-white composition, mouth open mid-shout, limbs splayed in what looks like an unwilling flight. Anchoring the lower half is a large purple "Bank of News" fifty-note — currency featuring a tiny uniformed figure — hinting at the financial intrigue threaded through Cerebus' world at this point in his career.
