“Anodyne Conclusion”

In "Anodyne Conclusion," Catwoman faces off against a new Clayface—amnesiac, terrified, and unaware of his origins, believing himself to be a soldier subjected to cruel experiments. As he struggles with his uncontrollable transformations and the unintended consequences of his powers, Selina’s attempt to help only deepens his panic. Written by Ed Brubaker and brought to life with sharp, expressive art by Darwyn Cooke—pencils and inks on the cover—this issue explores the cost of identity and the weight of unintended harm, with a tense, emotional showdown that ends with Selina calling Batman for help.

Selina confronts the new Clayface, learning he's an amnesiac shapechanger who doesn't know his real name or how he got his powers. He thinks he was a soldier who was experimented on. He has been killing sex workers unintentionally, panicking when his shape changing slips and the women freak out. He freaks out in turn when Selina offers to help him. She defeats him and calls Batman to help with the cleanup.
