A local store owner, Jackie Dillon, is beaten to death with a baseball bat by the new mob. He had tried to prevent his son Denny from becoming a drug dealer, and wasn't paying protection money. Selina learns that the Galante mob is involved and steals some of their money from a drop truck and burns the rest, hoping to make it too expensive for the mob to do business in the East End. The Penguin tell a Galante lieutenant that taking the East End won't be east with Catwoman claiming it. He is informed that Galante is bringing in a specialist. Zeiss "escapes" police custody.
