“Wild Ride Part Three: Meanwhile”

In "Wild Ride Part Three: Meanwhile," Catwoman and Holly hit the road toward Opal City, stopping at a roadside truck stop where a sudden robbery tests Holly’s new skills—she takes down the crooks and secures a hefty haul of mob cash. Meanwhile, a tense showdown unfolds between Batman and Slam, whose jealousy sparks a fight he quickly loses, leaving him with a quiet moment of regret. Written by Ed Brubaker and illustrated by Nick Derington, with inks by Cameron Stewart, colors by Lee Loughridge, and letters by Sean Konot, this 2003 issue delivers sharp character moments and taut pacing. The cover, also by Cameron Stewart, captures the story’s restless energy.
