Candy helps a man named Inglehoffer arrange a fox hunt with two older gentlemen, one of whom (Cedric) becomes interested in meeting Candy after hearing about her. When Inglehouffer brings the man to meet Candy, the visitor is actually Cedric's wife Agnes in disguise, leading to comic complications. In another story, Candy wonders what boys talk about when they're together, and her friend Trish expresses the same curiosity, with Candy joking that it's silly to wonder about such things.

When Candy and Tina team up for their home economics final exam—cooking dinner for two guests—they're determined to pass, even though neither considers herself much of a cook. But sabotage from rival Cornelia Clyde and a series of kitchen disasters threaten to reduce their meal to charred ruins, leaving them scrambling to save both the dinner and their grades before Miss Wrinkleberry arrives to inspect their work.
