Candy's father invites an important factory representative to dinner, forcing Candy to rush through grocery shopping and meal preparation. When her father arrives home with the guest, the man turns out to be Mr. Fuzzberry, whom Candy previously insulted while he was disguised as a shabby old man in a store. Candy attempts to win him over by cooking an elaborate dinner and being on her best behavior, but chaos ensues when her cat chases a mouse through the house, destroying the meal and creating mayhem that nearly ruins the evening before the situation is finally resolved.
