Candy tests Ted's loyalty by slipping a fake love note into his mailbox signed by a girl named Marge Lawson, then rings his doorbell to see his reaction. When Ted calls the number on the note, Candy answers and claims to be Marge, leading Ted to believe he's been two-timing her. Meanwhile, a carnival con man named Bragg uses Ted as a patsy in a rigged game, convincing him to help with a band performance plot that goes awry when Bragg crashes a fire truck. In a separate storyline, bored at home while her mother cleans house, Candy meets a handsome plumber and deliberately causes plumbing leaks throughout the house to keep him around, but her scheme backfires when she accidentally damages the pipes herself.
