Will Bragg is all talk when it comes to his musical talents, but when Fire Chief Swenson calls his bluff at Mrs. Mahoulahan's boarding house, Will finds himself stuck promising to play in Inspector Flanagan's lodge band—even though he can't play a note. Racing against time and his own pride, Will scrambles to find a way out of the jam before the big show, but fate (and a timely accident) have other plans in store.
