Jonesy and his pal Weepy head to Bar-None Dude Ranch for a weekend of cowboy adventure, but their inexperience with horses quickly becomes apparent when they encounter Painted Devil, an ornery bronco with a reputation for causing trouble. As chaos erupts around the ranch, Weepy finds himself caught between runaway horses, determined ranch hands, and his own knack for stumbling into wild situations—all while Jonesy watches the mayhem unfold.

When a stray dog named Sam latches onto Jonesy and refuses to leave, the teen reluctantly brings him home—much to his father's dismay. As Sam's popularity with the neighborhood dogs spirals hilariously out of control, Jonesy and his pal Weepy concoct a chemical solution to drive the canines away, only to discover their fix has an unexpected (and mischievous) side effect.

When Jonesy's friend shows up with an unexpected houseguest—a mischievous monkey named Herman—the teen quickly discovers that keeping the animal under wraps is easier said than done. From a chaotic dash through town to Herman's surprise appearance in Mr. Flint's classroom, Jonesy finds himself at the center of comedic mayhem that leaves teachers, test papers, and his reputation in shambles. By the time the dog catcher finally arrives to haul Herman away, Jonesy is ready for a peaceful weekend—but the monkey may have other plans in mind.

Jonesy and his pals set out for a carefree hitch-hiking weekend, but their journey quickly becomes a comedy of mishaps—from getting rides with pigs to careening through the countryside in increasingly bizarre vehicles. With each new ride bringing fresh chaos and close calls, what was supposed to be a relaxing reprieve from the school week turns into anything but, as the boys find themselves pushed to their limits by circumstances completely beyond their control.

Jonesy spends an exhausting night dancing at the soda shop with friends like Carol Lynne, Mary Jane, and Weepy, but when the place closes at ten, he's left wishing for more. The next morning, Jonesy and his buddies stumble through school in a daze—oversleeping, mixing up breakfast items, and barely staying awake through classes—as the energy from the night before leaves them running on fumes. By the time they finally reconvene at the soda shop after school, Jonesy's still buzzing, ready to keep the party going despite the exhaustion.
