Candy #60 from Quality Comics delivers a perfectly timed slice of 1950s teen humor right on the cover. Candy stands at an ironing board — headscarf on, iron in hand — telling her friend Trish that marriage would be swell if only husbands could handle all this work, while a wide-eyed, open-mouthed blond boy catches every word from the doorway. The comic timing is built right into the image, and it's easy to see why "America's Favorite Teen-Age Girl" was still going strong at issue sixty in 1956.
