Buster Bear is having the ride of his life on this cheerful February 1955 cover from Quality Comics — the grinning cub grips the safety bar of a speeding roller coaster car, mouth wide open with delighted terror, as a fairground stretches out behind him. A sign beside the track deadpans "We Told You This Ride Was Different," which just about sums up the anything-can-happen energy that made this series such a treat for young readers. At a dime a copy, issue #8 promises more of Buster's irrepressible good humor inside, including the story "Buster Strikes it Rich!
