When Buster Bear plans a peaceful day of relaxation, Cholly Chipmunk's loud hammering ruins it—the eager young chipmunk is trying to build a bird house for his Cub Scout merit badge, but his construction skills need work. Buster offers to help, but his attempts at increasingly fancy bird houses keep getting rejected, leading to some unexpected comedy as he tries to figure out what the birds actually want.
