Batwing #4

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Batwing #4 from February 2012 promises answers with its bold "Secret Origin Unveiled!" cover tagline. Ben Oliver's cover art presents a young man in street clothes — carrying a rifle and walking an alert, snarling dog — while the imposing shadow of Batwing's armored form looms large on the wall behind him, a striking visual contrast between two very different lives. Writer Judd Winick and artist ChrisCross continue their story of Africa's Batman, and that shadow on the wall says everything about where this series is headed.
