About this Collection
This German-language collection kicks off the Batwing Megaband series from Panini Deutschland, gathering the early adventures of the Batman of Africa, David Zavimbe. The volume, titled 'Gebrochene Helden' (Broken Heroes), follows the rookie vigilante as he navigates the corruption and violence of Tinasha while forging his own path as Gotham's international ally. It collects the opening story arc from the American Batwing series, written by Judd Winick with art by Ben Oliver and others.
Batwing Megaband #1 (2013), published by Panini Deutschland, features the story "Die Wiege der Zivilisation" with writing by Judd Winick and art by Ben Oliver, who also handled inking, while Brian Reber provided coloring and Datagrafix managed lettering. The cover was created by Marcus To, who both penciled and inked it. The issue centers on Batwing and other characters from the Megaband lineup in a story set within the broader DC Universe.
