B&V Friends Double Digest Magazine #234
In "Losers Can Be Choosers," the gang’s beach day falls flat when the waves disappoint, leading Veronica to rally the group to her house for a splash in the Lodges’ pool—only to find the place overrun by Mrs. Lodge’s Garden Club, turned poolside movie crowd. With no quiet corner in sight, Betty and Archie finally retreat to Betty’s house, where peace and privacy are finally within reach. Written by George Gladir and illustrated by Stan Goldberg, with inks by John Lowe, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Jack Morelli, the story captures the charm of small-town hangouts, all under a cover by Jeff Shultz and Bob Smith.
