Veronica #181
In "Stop the Press!," Veronica faces a new kind of challenge when Jennifer Mills, the school newspaper’s fresh editor, spins a gossip piece using Marcy’s words out of context. When that doesn’t satisfy her ambitions, Jennifer resorts to more drastic measures—planting a listening device on Marcy to uncover a secret deal involving the Lodge Corporation and a major coffeehouse takeover. Written and illustrated by Dan Parent, with inks by Jim Amash, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Teresa Davidson, this 2007 issue sees the newsroom drama heat up with real-world stakes. The cover, also by Dan Parent, captures the tension with a sharp, eye-catching moment from the unfolding story.
