In "An Opposite Kind of Guy!", Jughead’s usual contrarian streak earns him a teasing from Betty, who loves to point out his quirks. In a playful act of revenge, he casts a bad luck spell on her—only to be stunned when her luck seems to turn miraculously, proving her right in the most unexpected way.
In "Escort Supreme," Veronica enlists Jughead as her escort to a gallery showing of Salvitore Dolky's art—her only option since every other guy’s out of town. Jughead agrees, mostly for the buffet, but his unusual style catches Dolky’s eye, leading the artist to sketch him on the spot.
