When Spider-Woman evades government forces and reaches California, she’s ambushed by two towering Pacific Overlords during a mysterious dockside incident. Rushing to her aid, the newly reformed Avengers West Coast must confront a colossal toddler with explosive strength and uncover the sinister hand of Dr. Demonicus behind the attack.

In "...And Die in Infamy! [The Pacific Overlords Part II]," Hawkeye and Spider-Woman are left behind to guard a captured giant infant while the rest of the Avengers West Coast split up to hunt down the Pacific Overlords across Australia and Japan. When they uncover a hidden lead, they race to Hawaii—arriving just as Namor is ambushed at the Pearl Harbor memorial by Sunfire and Pele, who claim allegiance to the Overlords. Though Sunfire fights with terrifying resolve, his defeat reveals a shocking truth: he’s been mind-controlled by the ancient entity Demonicus. Meanwhile, the Commission orders USAgent to eliminate Spider-Woman, setting a deadly course for the team.

In "The Pacific Overlords -- Part III: Chaos and Chrysanthemums," Iron Man, Wasp, and Tigra land in Japan on a mission to stop Dr. Demonicus and the Pacific Overlords—only to face a deadly Yakuza gang led by the tattooed menace Irezumi. As the team is overwhelmed, Tigra barely escapes in the quinjet to warn her allies, while Dr. Demonicus transforms Living Lightning into pure electricity. Meanwhile, Hawkeye and Spider-Woman return to the AWC base, only to be ambushed by USAgent, sent by the government to eliminate Spider-Woman—yet he hesitates, torn by duty and conscience.

In "The Pacific Overlords (Part IV): Demonica Rising," Tigra pushes through injury to pilot a damaged quinjet toward Australia, desperate to warn her teammates of the trap ahead. Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, and Wasp arrive to confront Dr. Demonicus only to be overwhelmed by his Pacific Overlords and brought to a hidden underwater lair, where they find the rest of the team trapped in stasis—just as Demonicus reshapes the ocean floor into a new island, Demonica, to launch his dominion over the Pacific.

In "The Pacific Overlords Part V: Operation: Overlords," Hawkeye, USAgent, Spider-Woman, and Sunfire confront Dr. Demonicus, who’s turned a newly forged island in the Pacific into his own empire. With the help of Living Lightning, who breaks from Demonicus’s side, the team liberates their captured teammates and dismantles the Overlords’ reign—only to be abruptly ousted by the U.N., which officially recognizes Demonica as a sovereign nation. As the Avengers West Coast return home, they begin reshaping their roster in the aftermath.

In "Turn of the Sentry," the West Coast Avengers join forces with Captain America to rescue Rick Jones, who’s been taken by the Shi'ar. With Oracle using Rick to locate the Psyche-Magnetron, the team faces a colossal Kree Sentry guarding the device—just as the Shi'ar make their escape with a piece of the relic. Cap calls on Quasar to pursue the fleeing Shi'ar into the stars.

In "They Also Serve..." from Avengers West Coast Epic Collection #6, the arrival of the Imperial Guard throws Earth's remaining Avengers into chaos as they clash to rescue Warstar, Atlas, and Minerva.
