Avengers West Coast #81

Part 9 of the sweeping "Operation: Galactic Storm" crossover arrives in Avengers West Coast #81, and the cover by Dave Ross and Tim Dzon wastes no time setting a furious tone. U.S. Agent charges front and center, shield raised mid-swing against a wave of fallen enemies underfoot, while behind him the team — including a gun-wielding figure in red, a masked woman with batons, and a blonde hero in a blue-and-white costume — presses the assault across a battle-scarred landscape. Roy Thomas and Dann Thomas keep the West Coast squad right in the thick of one of Marvel's grandest 1992 space-war epics, and this issue is a satisfying piece of that sprawling puzzle.
