Archie's Pal Jughead #124

Sep 1965 · Archie · 0.12 USD
“The Fan”

In "The Fan," Jughead puts his unique spin on chivalry with a surprisingly physical demonstration that leaves Archie and Reggie stunned. When Betty and Veronica try to recreate the moment by orchestrating a chase, they don’t count on Jughead recognizing the boy behind it all—thwarting their plan before it even begins. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with crisp, expressive art by Samm Schwartz, this 1965 classic captures the humor and charm of Riverdale’s most famously hungry resident. The cover by Samm Schwartz perfectly captures Jughead’s signature swagger.

Jughead demonstrates his opinion of chivalry in a physical fashion on Archie and Reggie. Betty and Veronica like the effect it has and arrange for a boy to chase them and draw out Jughead to respond in the same fashion. However, Jughead knows the boy they have chasing them, so the plan fails.
