Archie Comics #89
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeOn this charming November–December 1957 cover by Harry Lucey, a beaming, tuxedo-clad Archie adjusts his bow tie with unmistakable self-satisfaction while a dark-haired Veronica in a red evening gown protests, "Archiekins! You had no business kissing me!" — to which Archie cheerfully replies, "That wasn't business, Ronnie! …That was a pleasure!" Floating hearts underscore just how pleased with himself he is, while couples dancing inside a brightly lit venue are glimpsed through the doorway behind them. It's a perfectly breezy snapshot of Riverdale romance, and the interior story "Small Change," illustrated by Dan DeCarlo and inked by Rudy Lapick, promises more of the same warm, witty fun.
