“A Campaign in the Neck”

In "A Campaign in the Neck," Archie launches a surprise write-in bid for class president—just as Riverdale holds its mayoral election. When Jughead accidentally delivers the mayor’s campaign posters instead of Archie’s, the mix-up sends the town into a frenzy, turning a school race into a full-blown local political spectacle. Bob Montana’s art captures the chaos with his signature charm, making this 1955 classic a delightfully absurd slice of Riverdale life.

Archie decides to run a last-minute write-in campaign against Reggie for class president. The school election is the same day as the Riverdale mayoral election. Jughead goes to pick up some campaign posters for Archie, but gets the Mayor's instead. That leads to Archie's posters being plastered all over town and he wins the mayoral election.
