Archie Comics #57
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom 1952, this issue of "America's Typical Teen-Ager" captures the lighthearted spirit Archie Comics was known for — cover pencils by Bill Vigoda show Archie and Jughead outside a candy shop, nudging each other as Veronica walks out carrying a box of chocolates, her arrival prompting some very Riverdale-style commentary in their speech bubbles. Inside, writer Sy Reit and artist/inker George Frese deliver "Fine Feathered Friends," promising the kind of breezy teen humor that made this title America's largest-selling teen-age magazine. A charming snapshot of early-'50s Archie at its most cheerfully wholesome.
