Archie Annual Digest #44
In "Stumble Bum," the Archies dive into a whirlwind of mischief when Betty and Veronica both vie for a go-go dancer spot, sparking a prank war that spirals when Veronica hurls vanishing cream at Archie—shrinking him to tiny size. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Bob White with inks by Jon D'Agostino, this 1984 annual blends classic teen chaos with absurd humor, as a shrunken Archie teams up with Jughead and Reggie to outwit Mr. Lodge and foil the girls’ plans. Dan DeCarlo’s signature cover captures the zany energy of the tale.

The Archies are looking for a go-go dancer and both Betty and Veronica want the job. Veronica tries to kidnap Archie so he'll pick her, but when he refuses, she throws a jar of vanishing cream at him, and he almost vanishes, shrinking down to miniscule size. Jughead and Reggie feed Archie rubber bands so he'll "stretch" back to his normal size, and then the three guys take to annoying Mr. Lodge (including turning up in his shower at one point) before scaring the girls away from the go-go girl gig.
