“Zero Hero”

This Giant-sized 1973 Archie Series issue puts Reggie front and center at what looks like a bow-tie counter, proudly boasting that his polka-dot selection "matches my personality" — only for someone to fire back that it's "almost as dotty as you are!" Archie, a blonde girl, and a laughing dark-haired girl round out the store scene, while Jughead peers in from the corner and a tiny chase plays out in a fun vignette at the top of the cover, all rendered in Dan DeCarlo's reliably charming linework. At a quarter a copy, Reggie and Me #67 is a warm slice of Riverdale humor that showcases Reggie's signature mix of vanity and cluelessness at its best.

When Archie and Reggie ask her to the dance simultaneously, Veronica says she'll go with whoever plays better in the next football game. After the game she declares it a tie, but both Archie and Reggie are too banged up and they send Dilton in their place.
