This September 1996 issue of Archie kicks off with a poolside cover that's pure summertime comedy — Archie has clearly missed the diving board entirely and landed sprawled upside-down on a large inflatable ball, while Veronica, looking amused in her bikini, delivers the deadpan verdict: "Your aim is off!" The cover pencils by Stan Goldberg and inks by Henry Scarpelli capture that breezy, warm-weather charm the series does so well, and the familiar Riverdale gang peeks out from the corner box to round out the fun.
