Betty & Veronica (Jumbo Comics) Double Digest #29
In "I Had a Secret," Archie claims he's visiting Betty to fix her stereo, but his real motive is less about electronics and more about keeping things under wraps. When Veronica calls Betty and overhears Archie is there, her suspicions flare—especially when Betty’s mom casually confirms he’s "tinkering with her turntable." The next day, Betty’s cryptic comment about "making beautiful music together" only deepens the mystery. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo Jr., with cover art by Dan DeCarlo and Alison Flood, this Double Digest tale captures the classic mix of teenage tension and playful rivalry.
