Aquaman #3
In "The Aquaman from Atlantis Chapter 1," a mysterious impostor wearing an Aquaman disguise terrorizes the seas, kidnapping Aqualad and abandoning him to perish on a desert island. Meanwhile, in ancient Greece, the real Aquaman aids the Greek forces in their battle against the Persians—so convincingly that the people begin to believe he is Poseidon himself. Written by Jack Miller and illustrated by Nick Cardy, this 1962 DC adventure features the dynamic art of Cardy on both interior pages and cover, with the cover pencils and inks also by Cardy.
In "The Aquaman from Atlantis Chapter 1," Aquaman and Aqualad investigate mysterious explosions near Atlantis, only to be thrown into a time-warp by a rogue Atlantean named Pomoxis—sending Aquaman crashing into ancient Greece. The story unfolds with the hero stranded in a world far removed from his own, facing the unknown with only his wits and the sea at his command.
In "Chapter 2: The Double Doom," Aquaman faces a double threat: a villain in his own likeness terrorizing the seas, while flashbacks reveal the hero’s legendary role in ancient Greece, where his powers lead the Greeks to believe he is Poseidon himself.
In "Chapter 3: The Battle of the Fish Armies," Aquaman returns to the present after navigating a time warp, only to dive back into action when he rescues Aqualad from a sudden threat. Together, the two heroes face off against the formidable Pomoxis, leading to a clash of sea power and cunning as they strive to protect the ocean’s balance.
