In "The Gun That Dropped Through Time! [Part I]," the All-Star Comics team investigates the mysterious death of inventor Dr. Swanley at the National Society of Inventors Show, where a missing murder weapon and a suspicious reporter, Weldon, put the JSA on a race against time. With only two hours to recover the gun from a time chute—Swanley’s strange invention—before an innocent man is executed, the heroes must unravel the past before it vanishes for good.
In "The Gun That Dropped Through Time! [Part II]," Flash and Black Canary race through the Time Chute to the 14th Century, where they must outwit the Khan to claim a mysterious gun—only for it to vanish mid-battle. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman and Dr. Mid-Nite land in 5th Century Europe, captured by Attila the Hun, who holds the same weapon, and after a daring escape, the gun slips from Dr. Mid-Nite’s grasp just as suddenly.
In "The Gun That Dropped Through Time! Part III," Hawkman and the Atom arrive in ancient Rome in 71 B.C., drawn to a gladiator arena where a mysterious weapon is said to be in play. As the Atom claims the gun amid a fierce clash with the fighters, the pair barely escape—only to find the weapon vanishes. Later, G.L. is stranded in 9638 B.C., where he encounters the Queen of Atlantis, who reveals the gun’s dark origins. When an earthquake strikes, he finally secures it—this time, his ring keeps it from slipping through time again.
In "The Gun That Dropped Through Time! Part IV," the JSA races against time to save Weldon, using G.L.'s ring to retrieve the team from their Time Ledges and a daring trip to the Governor’s office to secure the gun. When they return the Time Chute to Pomar, they uncover a shocking truth—Pomar is the killer behind Swanley’s murder—and face a deadly new ray that drains their will to live.
In "The Race of Wheel and Keel," John Butterfield and Harrison make a high-stakes wager: can Butterfield’s stagecoach or Harrison’s ship cross the United States from east to west faster? The challenge pits the rugged endurance of the land route against the speed of the sea, setting two rivals on a thrilling, unpredictable journey across the nation’s vast terrain.
