In "The Case of the Patriotic Crimes! Part II," Hawkman battles the Wizard to protect Old Ironsides, only to be overpowered by a sudden snap that leaves him under the villain’s control. As the Fiddler steals the Freedom Bell and the Huntress commandeers circus elephants to move Plymouth Rock, the Flash and Atom are thwarted—only to be trapped in a mind-erasing trance. Meanwhile, the Icicle deploys a super ram-jet to haul away the Washington Monument, leaving Green Lantern helpless in a hypnotic grip.
In "The Case of the Patriotic Crimes, Part III," Harlequin and Black Canary race to stop the Injustice Society from hijacking the Freedom Train, only to be captured and trapped in a mine by the Wizard. With the JSA's fate hanging in the balance, the heroes must overcome mind-erased memories and face off against the villains in a final showdown. Later, at JSA headquarters, Black Canary earns her place among the team.
