In "The Case of the Patriotic Crimes! (Part II)," the Justice League scrambles to stop a string of bizarre thefts targeting America’s most iconic symbols. As Hawkman tries to thwart the Wizard’s plan to steal Old Ironsides, he’s suddenly incapacitated by a strange snapping noise—only to find himself under the villain’s control. Meanwhile, the Fiddler makes off with the Freedom Bell, the Huntress commandeers circus elephants to haul Plymouth Rock, and the Icicle deploys a super ram-jet to carry away the Washington Monument, each act leaving heroes like the Flash, Atom, and Green Lantern trapped in a disorienting trance.
In "The Case of the Patriotic Crimes (Part III)," Harlequin and Black Canary race to stop the Injustice Society from hijacking the Freedom Train, only to be captured and trapped in a collapsing mine. With the crooks using a ram-jet to relocate Gotham Stadium and stage a twisted public vote on their crimes, the JSA must break free from mind-control and face their foes in a final showdown. After the battle, Black Canary is formally welcomed into the Justice Society of America.
In "Starro the Conqueror!", a frantic Peter the Puffer Fish warns Aquaman of an alien invasion led by the menacing Starro the Conqueror, who's turned three ordinary starfish into his twisted lieutenants. With Earth under threat, Aquaman rallies Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Batman, the Flash, and J’onn J’onzz—but while Superman and Batman are unable to respond, the others form teams to confront the cosmic menace.
In "Starro vs. Wonder Woman and John Jones Manhunter from Mars," the Amazon warrior and the Martian Manhunter team up to rescue a group of Earth scientists captured by a rogue starfish lieutenant. As they uncover the threat, they realize the alien's stolen knowledge is spreading—empowering the entire Starro force with terrifying new abilities, including the power to unleash nuclear blasts.
In "Starro vs. the Flash!", the Flash races against time in Happy Harbor, where a Starro duplicate has taken control and the townspeople lie under its mind-altering influence. With only a single teenager immune to the alien’s power, the Flash must confront the third Starro lieutenant, uncover the location of the real Starro, and decide whether to bring the impulsive "Snapper" Carr along for the final showdown.
In "Starro vs. Justice League of America," the alien menace Starro unleashes his mind-control powers on the Justice League, turning the tide of battle—until Flash and Green Lantern spot a crucial clue: Snapper is shielded by a layer of lime. With quick thinking and a few well-placed barrels, the heroes turn the tide in a clever, unexpected way, leaving Starro defeated and on display in the JLA trophy room.
