Chameleon Boy is not allowed to fight Baron Kodor since defeating him would allow him to marry Princess Elwinda. But when King Artros' forces fail to stop Kodor, Chameleon Boy defeats Kodor and wins the hand of the Princess. The Legion views the wedding ceremony, and misunderstanding, thinks Cham is in trouble and teleports him home, sealing the passage between the two dimensions.
