The collection spans key stories from the late 1950s and early 1960s, including the debut of Bouncing Boy and the introduction of the Legion's iconic flight rings. Featuring classic tales of interstellar heroics and youthful camaraderie, it captures the whimsical, high-concept charm that defined the Legion's formative years under creators like Otto Binder and Al Plastino.
In "Mission: Diabolical!", the Legion of Super-Heroes faces a crisis when Invisible Kid collapses after a training drill, revealing he can perceive an invisible world—and its inhabitant, Myla. As Dream Girl foresees an attack by Validus, Saturn Girl uncovers a chilling truth: the remnants of Tharok’s brain, held by the Legion, are summoning the villain. Written by Cary Bates and illustrated by Mike Grell with colors by Elizabeth Safian and letters by Ben Oda, this 2025 issue delivers a tense, emotionally charged story where the Legion’s past actions threaten their future. The cover by Nick Cardy captures the moment’s intensity.

After the Legionnaires run a practice drill on protecting their headquarters, Invisible Kid collapses.
