  • Element Lad enters the story under the alias 'Mystery Lad,' wearing a question mark on his costume; only Saturn Girl is told his true power in secret.
  • The cover was penciled by Curt Swan and inked by George Klein; the Legion story interior art is by John Forte; the Superboy backup ('The Confession of Superboy!') is drawn by George Papp.
  • The issue contains two main stories: the Legion tale 'The Secret Power of the Mystery Super-Hero!' and a Superboy solo story in which Lana Lang uses Red Kryptonite to strip Superboy of speech in an attempt to expose his Clark Kent identity.
  • Edited by Mort Weisinger, the issue went on sale February 28, 1963, with a cover date of April 1963.
