With a rare power-rod from a dead planet, Jonathan Kent gains super-strength and takes on the guise of Strongman to aid his son, Superboy—while Melvin, caught in the crossfire, must rise to the challenge. George Papp handles both pencils and inks for the story, while Curt Swan and Stan Kaye bring the cover to life.
