Steve Moncuse

Steve Moncuse is best known as the creator, writer, and artist of *Fish Police*, a film-noir-inspired comic about Inspector Gill, a fish detective navigating a mafia-ridden underwater metropolis. Born in the United States, Moncuse launched the series in 1985, publishing original stories through 1991. His work on *Fish Police* drew attention for its clever anthropomorphic marine cast and hard-boiled dialogue, with Sam Kieth contributing a single panel and a "Next Issue" pin-up.
