The Infinity gems have been split and Nemesis has exploded into waves of energy that threaten to destroy the universe. The Ego gem attaches to Amber Hunt and asks for her help in recovering the Time gem so they can fix things. She makes her way to an alternate reality where Warstrike and Necromantra rule Los Angeles with an iron hand. She recovers the Time gem and heads back to the nanosecond after the Infinity gems split. As Nemesis explodes, Amber absorbs the waves of energy that are released and saves the cosmos. The first wave, however, gets through and transforms the Ultraverse forever.
