Stephen Byrne
1986–
Stephen Byrne (born 1986) is an Irish comic book artist and animator best known for his vibrant, clean-lined work on all-ages and superhero titles. He broke into American comics in the mid-2010s, quickly earning a reputation for dynamic layouts and a bright, expressive color palette. Byrne’s most prominent work includes illustrating the *Wonder Twins* series, where his energetic style perfectly suited the characters’ lighthearted adventures, and the crossover *Justice League / Power Rangers*. He has also contributed to *Nightwing* and *Green Arrow*, and later co-created the series *Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over*. His collaborators on these projects have included writers Mark Russell and Amanda Deibert. Byrne’s art is characterized by crisp linework, vivid colors, and a strong sense of motion, making him a natural fit for both superhero action and character-driven storytelling. He also served as colorist on *Joy Operations 2*. While specific major award wins are not recorded in his profile, his work has been consistently published by DC Comics from 2016 onward. Byrne continues to work in comics and animation, bringing a distinctly Irish perspective to the mainstream industry.
