The fourth issue of Joy Operations 2 closes in on a white-suited woman lunging forward with a glowing weapon in hand, surrounded by a full squad of similarly outfitted operatives brandishing energy arms against a moonlit cityscape. Stephen Byrne's cover work crackles with kinetic energy, the cool blues and electric oranges giving the whole scene a sleek, high-tech urgency. Brian Michael Bendis's sci-fi action series is clearly running at full throttle as it heads toward its finale.
