Gabriel Bá
1976–
Gabriel Bá (born 5 June 1976) is a Brazilian comic book artist and writer, best known for his expressive, emotionally resonant work on *The Umbrella Academy*, *Casanova*, and the acclaimed limited series *Daytripper*. Born in São Paulo, he is the twin brother of fellow artist Fábio Moon, with whom he has frequently collaborated. Bá entered comics in the early 2000s, gaining recognition for his fluid, ink-heavy linework and cinematic storytelling. His signature style—a blend of dynamic action and subtle character detail—is most visible in *The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite* and *Hotel Oblivion*, where he co-created the offbeat superhero team with writer Gerard Way. He also co-created the psychedelic spy series *Casanova* with Matt Fraction, and the meditative, award-winning *Daytripper* with Moon. Bá’s work often explores themes of identity, mortality, and family. He has received multiple Eisner Awards, including Best Limited Series for *Daytripper* and Best Continuing Series for *The Umbrella Academy*. Later in his career, he contributed to *You Look Like Death: Tales from the Umbrella Academy* and continued to work on independent projects. Bá remains a vital figure in modern comics, admired for his artistic versatility and collaborative spirit.
