Elliott Kalan
Elliott Kalan (born December 3, 1981) is an American comedian and comic book writer best known for his work on *The Daily Show with Jon Stewart* and as head writer for the Netflix revival of *Mystery Science Theater 3000*. Born in New York City, he began writing for television before transitioning to comics in the early 2010s. His most prominent work includes runs on *Harley Quinn*, *Spider-Man & the X-Men*, and *The Superior Foes of Spider-Man*, where he brought a sharp, comedic sensibility to superhero storytelling. Kalan also wrote several Disney-themed comics, including *Disney Hercules* and *Disney Villains: Hades*, and co-created the horror series *Maniac of New York*. He frequently collaborates with artists like Steve Lieber and Dan Schaffer. Beyond comics, Kalan co-hosts the film podcast *The Flop House*. He has not received major industry awards but remains a respected voice in both comedy and comics.
