Spider-Man & the X-Men #2

The cover of this 2015 Marvel team-up is genuinely delightful: a humanoid reptilian figure presents a bouquet of red roses and an engagement ring to a large triceratops-like dinosaur, while a startled Spider-Man leaps in from above and a crowd of mutant students looks on in the background. Nick Bradshaw's pencils and Ian Herring's inks give the whole scene a wonderfully absurd warmth — equal parts classroom chaos and unexpected romance. With Elliott Kalan writing and Marco Failla on interiors, this series clearly has a sense of humor as big as its cast.
