Tyr
Tyr Odinson is the Asgardian god of war, son of Odin and a member of the Norse pantheon brought to life in Marvel's cosmos. A proud and battle-hardened warrior of Asgard, he has at times clashed with his fellow Asgardians and forged uneasy alliances with darker powers.
Few characters can claim roots stretching all the way back to the Silver Age thunder of Journey into Mystery #85 in 1962, but Tyr has been a fixture of Marvel's Asgardian mythology ever since Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby first brought him to the page. A denizen of the Nine Realms through more than six decades of storytelling — from the early Marvel Universe to the pages of Immortal Thor — Tyr moves through some of the most storied company in comics, sharing adventures with Thor Odinson, Loki, Odin, Balder, and Heimdall. With three key-issue appearances to his name and a presence that has endured across Thor, Journey into Mystery, and beyond, he's a genuine piece of Marvel's mythological bedrock — the kind of character that rewards the collector who digs deeper into Asgard's rich, sprawling history.
