Who is Renny?

Renny is one of Doc Savage's core companions, a member of the legendary five-man team that includes Monk, Ham, Long Tom, and Johnny. Together they assist the Man of Bronze across his pulp-comics adventures.

A Golden Age original, Renny made his comics debut in 1941's Doc Savage Comics #3, brought to life by artist Henry Kiefer, and has been part of the Doc Savage universe ever since — a remarkable span stretching nearly seven decades to 2010. He shares his adventures with some of pulp comics' most iconic figures: Doc Savage himself, along with Monk, Ham, Long Tom, and Johnny, that legendary ensemble whose exploits fill the pages of Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze and Doc Savage Annual. It's a testament to the enduring pull of the Doc Savage world that Renny has kept such distinguished company across so many eras, and for collectors with a taste for Golden Age roots and classic pulp adventure, he's a rewarding piece of that rich tapestry.
