John Sunlight has survived his recent defeat by Doc Savage and is ready to atttack Doc's whole organization. In New York Doc tells his team he's tired of all the violence and wants to go to Hidalgo for a rest. Elsewhere, crime boss Castigleone tries to torture the whereabouts of a Nazi weapons cache from a home-grown Nazi, but only the Bund leader Bill Smith knows where it is, and he's in prison. In Hidalgo Doc is attacked by the tribal Warrior Clan. He is captured and as he demands to know where King Chaac and Princess Monja are, he is knocked over the head by Monja herself.
